Why air guns may be a better option for survival needs

Lately I've been buying a few 'survival' off the grid type of stuff, like instant water purifier, fire starter stick, first aid kit and will continue to add to this list.

But also thinking about 'meat' or 'food' if and when ever find self trying to survive off the grid should things go terribly wrong in society.

As such been considering getting a air rifle or pellet gun....why??

1. They're much quieter than regular bullet loading guns, and to me surviving off the grid means being invisible.
A 22 or other caliber gun, when fired, makes a lot of noise, and noise is a dead give away to where you are.

2. If off the grid, there are plenty of small game that a powerful air gun can take down, as in birds, squirrels, rabbits, ect, and when hungry and in need of 'protein', believe me you, you won't be picky!

3. Ammo way less expensive than conventional guns, and much more light weight and easy to store

This and other reasons seriously has me considering buying a air rifle, not for sport, not for defense, but rather for survival should times ever require it.

I want to be able to 'shoot' 'game', and not give location away, and there's plenty of 'game' in cities, birds, squirrels, pigeons, even sea gulls (gross), but if hungry, fry it up...LOL
